Mexico City
I grew up in border towns to Mexico, the experience for good or bad, was what I knew. We would travel to Mexico on weekends to shop or eat out, it was a seamless part of my life. All of my friends had relatives in Mexico that they would visit often as it was just down the street. Over the years, the border towns grew more and more dangerous, forcing many of us who could to relocate. My family settled in the Austin area and has been here since 2000. It wasn’t until we had the chance to go to Mexico City with the founders of Wanted Design/ NY Design week that we found ourselves in an amazing place that I forgot how well I knew.
